GDC Pulwama organizes inter-college online Naat competition

PULWAMA — Government Degree College Pulwama on Tuesday organized an inter-college online Naat competition, given the ban on gatherings due to COVID-19 pandemic.

In the online event, 35 participants from different colleges of the UT participated. However, the top three positions were won by Amaan Ullah from GDC Pulwama, Bisma Shafi from GDC Women M.A. Road and Haseeb Lateef Mir from Institute of Technology, Zakura, respectively.

The patron for the event was Professor Farooq Ahmad Andrabi (Principal, GDC Pulwama) while jury included Dr Javid Ahmad Paul, Sr Asstt Professor (Arabic), GDC Women Pulwama; Mohammad Iqbal Bhat, Asstt Professor (CA), GDC Beerwah.

On the other hand, programme secretaries included Jon Mohammad Bhat (Convener Debate and Seminar Committee); Dr Irshad-ul-Haq (Head, Department of Arabic).

Anchoring was handled by Dr Irshad-ul-Haq (Head, Department of Arabic) and technical support was provided by Dr Nisar Ahmad (Asstt Professor Political Science and member of Debate and Seminar Committee).
