SRINAGAR — Following the outbreak of second wave of COVID-19, the government on Sunday said it will consider re-opening of higher education and skill development institutions for physical academic activities after July 31.

After three months, the Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Re-construction in an order said that the re-opening of such institutes will be considered in accordance with the vaccination status of students and the staff.

The department has said, “Higher educational institutions and skill development centres may be considered for phased re-opening for onsite learning after July 31, 2021 subject to the vaccination status of the students and staff.”
