JKBOSE amends Class 12 results; Re-declares failed 165 students as qualifiers with distinctions

SRINAGAR — At least 165 students, who were declared failed to qualify for all subjects of 12th standard, have been re-declared as distinction holders in the amended annual regular results.

According to the news agency KNO, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) on Monday announced the amendment and revised notification of those students who were declared failed due to the ‘lackadaisical approach of either from their parental school or the JKBOSE’.

In a notification, JKBOSE said, “Further to the Higher Secondary Part Two examination results, at least 165 roll numbers’ results are amended, revised and declared.”

Pertinently, a group of Class 12th students on Saturday held a demonstration here in Press Enclave Srinagar against the discrepancy in results announced by JKBOSE.

The protesting students had said that scores of students of Government Higher Secondary School Kakapora have been marked absent for practical paper of Chemistry subject and subsequently marked as ‘Reappear.’

“We have scored good marks in the theory paper, and due to the practical discrepancy, the entire subject is shown as ‘Reappear,’ which has left us mentally disturbed,” they said.
