
SRINAGAR — University of Kashmir (KU) today suspended class work in its main as well as satellite campuses up to March 31, following the government order of closure of educational institutions as a precautionary measure against Coronavirus.
A notification from the varsity said, “It is notified for the information of all concerned that the class work at the University of Kashmir including its main campus and all other satellite campuses shall remain suspended w.e.f March 12, 2020 to March 31, 2020 as a precautionary measure in view of the pandemicity of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus).”
It is pertinent to mention that the Jammu and Kashmir administration on Monday decided to suspend the class work in all the educational institutions across the Union Territory from Thursday till March 31, 2020 in wake of the deadly Coronavirus epidemic.
Earlier on March 08, the government had ordered closure of all primary schools — both private and government — in six districts of Jammu and Kashmir including Jammu, Samba, Srinagar, Budgam, Bandipora and Baramulla.
