SRINAGAR — The School Education Kashmir (DSEK) on Wednesday ordered a change in school timings from April 1 for all schools of Kashmir division falling outside municipal limits.
According to the news agency KNO, an order was issued by the Director of School Education (DSEK), Tassaduq Hussain Mir in this regard.
In the order, he said that the new timings for the government and the recognized private schools falling outside Srinagar municipal limits will be from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The orders shall be implemented from April 1.
“The order and the instructions shall be adhered to strictly by all the concerned institutions,” the DSEK said.
Earlier on February 28, School Education Department had changed school timing in Srinagar city from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Under Secretary to Government for School Education Department had said, “I am directed to convey the approval of the department for change of school timings in Srinagar City from 9 AM to 2 PM from March 01.”
Pertinently, in the backdrop of ongoing work for Srinagar smart city, the timing of all schools within the Srinagar municipal limits shall remain the same from 9 AM to 2 PM.
