SRINAGAR — The Secretary School Education Jammu and Kashmir, Bishwajit Kumar Singh on Friday refuted rumours that there will be no board examination for Class 8th and 9th, while stating that final decision is yet to be made.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Singh said that no final decision has been made yet about the final examination for classes 8th and 9th.

“However, due to COVID-19 pandemic, the Department of Education is in touch with the Disaster Management for final decision,” he said.

Singh said that they have forwarded the file to the Department of Disaster and once they get response from them, they will come up with the final decision.

“I am clarifying that no such decision regarding the examination of classes 8th and 9th has been taken, but department will soon come up with a final decision,” he stated.

He also urged the students not to fall to prey to rumours, and the department cares about their future.

Singh also wished luck to the students of classes 10th and 12th for their annual examination, which are scheduled to be commence from the next month.
