NEW DELHI — National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the online application deadline for various examinations amid the lockdown, imposed to curb the spread of COVID-19.
The last date to submit online applications for National Council for Hotel Management (NCHM) JEE-2020, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) Admission Test-2020 for Ph.D and OPENMAT (MBA), Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)-2020, Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Examination (JNUEE)-2020 has been extended till May 15 and All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET)-2020 has been extended till June 05, 2020.
Earlier, the last date to submit online applications to the above-mentioned exams except AIAPGET was April 30, which has now been postponed to May 15, 2020. An official notice in this regard reads, “In view of the hardships faced by the parents and the students due to COVID-19 epidemic, the National Testing Agency has further extended/revised the dates of submission of Online Application Forms for various Examinations.”
Candidates can pay the requisite fee through credit / debit card / net banking / UPI and Paytm.
The notification also reads, “The detailed schedule mentioning revised dates of downloading of Admit Cards and Examination will be displayed separately on respective examination website(s) and www.nta.ac.in, after assessment of the situation after 15.05.2020 only.”
NTA has asked students and parents not to worry about the examination. The notice also says, “Moreover, parents are requested to help young students utilize this time for preparing for the Examination and focus on critical concepts in order to close learning gaps, if any. NTA would keep students updated about the latest developments and would inform about changes with ample time.”
