Prof Shakil Romshoo is KU’s new Dean Research

SRINAGAR — Professor Shakil Ahmad Romshoo from Department of Earth Sciences has been appointed as the new Dean Research of University of Kashmir.

As per an order issued by the Kashmir University, Zaffar Ahmad from Department of Botany shall complete his term of three years as Dean Research.

“Professor Shakil Ahmad Romshoo (from) Department of Earth Sciences has been nominated by Vice Chancellor to function as Dean Research for a period of three years from May 13, 2020,” the order reads.

Professor Romshoo has research interests in Hydrology, Glaciology, Geoinformatics and Climate Change.

Similarly, Professor Bashir Ahmad Khan, Department of History has been appointed as Dean School of Social Sciences for a period of three years.

While Professor Shamim Ahmad Shah from Department of Geography and Regional Development has been appointed as Dean School of Earth and Environmental Science for a period of three years.
