SRINAGAR — Jammu and Kashmir reported 44 fresh COVID-19 cases, including 11 travellers and two minors, even as no death due to the virus was reported in the last 24 hours, officials said on Monday.
They said that eight among the cases are from Jammu Division and 36 from Kashmir Valley, taking the total case tally to 124550.
Giving district-wise details, the official said that Srinagar reported 15 cases, Baramulla 1, Budgam 3, Pulwama 4, Kupwara 3, Anantnag 2, Bandipora 1, Ganderbal 3, Kulgam 1, Shopian 3, Jammu 7, Udhampur 0, Rajouri 0, Doda 0, Kathua 0, Samba 0, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 0, Ramban 1 and Reasi 0.
A number of cases were confirmed at diagnostic laboratories of SKIMS Soura, CD Hospital and GMC Anantnag.
The SKIMS cases include male (60) from Kachwari Budgam, male (55) from Nowgam Wanibal, males (09, 61, 52, 42) and females (58, 49) from Saloora Ganderbal, and male (14) from Arampora Ganderbal, female (40) from Habbak Srinagar, male (65) from Safakadal Srinagar, male (75) from Nigeen Srinagar and female (75) from Pampore.
The CD cases include female (26) from Panner, female (50) from Panner, male (55) from Panner, female (60) from Awantipora while the GMC Anantnag cases include female (25) from KB Pora.
Moreover, they said, 83 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals—19 from Jammu Division and 64 from Kashmir Valley.
With this, the number of active positive has reduced to 709—157 in Jammu and 552 in Kashmir—as 121905 people have recovered while 1936 other succumbed to the virus—721 in Jammu and 1215 in Kashmir, respectively.
