SRINAGAR — Jammu and Kashmir reported 60 new COVID-19 cases, including nine travellers, in the last 24 hours, taking the total virus tally to 124719, officials said on Thursday.
Among the fresh cases, the officials said that 42 cases were reported from Kashmir Valley and 18 from Jammu division. Also, three districts from Kashmir and six from Jammu division reported zero cases during the time.
Giving the district-wise cases, they said, Srinagar reported 22, Baramulla 3, Budgam 3, Pulwama 4, Kupwara 0, Anantnag 5, Bandipora 0, Ganderbal 4, Kulgam 1, Shopian 0, Jammu 8, Udhampur 0, Rajouri 0, Doda 0, Kathua 0, Samba 0, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 1, Ramban 2 and Reasi 7.
Meanwhile, 75 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals—13 from Jammu Division and 62 from Kashmir.
Two more die due to COVID-19, J&K toll 1943
Jammu and Kashmir reported two more deaths due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, taking the fatality count to 1943, officials said on Thursday.
Both the deaths were reported from Kashmir Valley—one each from Kupwara (male from Gushipora) and Shopian (female from Zainapora), respectively.
With these deaths, the fatality count has reached 1943 in J&K—1221 in Valley and 722 in Jammu division, the officials said.
Srinagar district with 458 deaths tops the list followed by Jammu (371), Baramulla (174), Budgam (118), Kupwara (96), Pulwama (88), Anantnag (86), Doda (64), Bandipora (61), Udhampur (57), Kulgam (54), Rajouri (55), Kathua (53), Ganderbal (46), Shopian (40), Samba (40), Poonch (24), Ramban (21), Kishtwar (22), and Reasi (15).
