SRINAGAR — Eight travellers and a CRPF trooper were among 44 new COVID-19 cases reported in Jammu and Kashmir in the last 24 hours, officials said on Tuesday.
Among the fresh cases, 12 were from Jammu Division and 32 from Kashmir Valley, the officials said. These cases took the case tally to 124594 in J&K.
Giving district-wise details, the official said that Srinagar reported 12 cases, Baramulla 2, Budgam 1, Pulwama 5, Kupwara 0, Anantnag 2, Bandipora 0, Ganderbal 9, Kulgam 1, Shopian 0, Jammu 8, Udhampur 1, Rajouri 0, Doda 0, Kathua 0, Samba 2, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 1, Ramban 0 and Reasi 0.
Moreover, they said, 83 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals–33 from Jammu Division and 50 from Kashmir.
Two more die due to COVID-19, J&K toll 1938
Jammu and Kashmir reported two more deaths due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, officials said on Tuesday.
The victims include a 64-year-old man from Danamazar Safakadal Srinagar and a 68-year-old woman from Magam Budgam, taking the fatality count to 1938 in J&K—1217 in Valley and 721 in Jammu division, the officials said.
Srinagar district with 457 deaths tops the list followed by Jammu (371), Baramulla (174), Budgam (118), Kupwara (95), Pulwama (88), Anantnag (85), Doda (64), Bandipora (61), Udhampur (57), Kulgam (54), Rajouri (55), Kathua (52), Ganderbal (46), Shopian (39), Samba (40), Poonch (24), Ramban (21), Kishtwar (22), and Reasi (15).
