SRINAGAR — Jammu and Kashmir recorded its highest single-day Coronavirus death toll since the pandemic began as 65 persons succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours till 1700 hours on Tuesday, officials said.
Also, 4352 fresh COVID-19 cases were reported during the time—1708 in Jammu division and 2644 in Kashmir Valley, taking the overall case tally to 224898.
Regarding the fatalities, the officials said that 41 deaths were reported from Jammu division and 24 from Kashmir Valley, taking the death toll to 2847.
Providing district-wise details, they said, Srinagar reported 846 cases, Baramulla 361, Budgam 322, Pulwama 282, Kupwara 171, Anantnag 198, Bandipora 85, Ganderbal 52, Kulgam 269, Shopian 58, Jammu 602, Udhampur 156, Rajouri 208, Doda 81, Kathua 251, Samba 101, Kishtwar 52, Poonch 87, Ramban 67 and Reasi 10.
Moreover, they said, 3537 more COVID-19 patients have recovered, 1275 from Jammu Division and 2262 from Kashmir.
Active positive cases crossed 50701 mark—18041 in Jammu and 32660 in Kashmir.
