SRINAGAR — In response to a surge in patient numbers, Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) under the leadership of Director Dr M Ashraf Ganie is embarking on a significant expansion initiative to double its current facilities, aimed at effectively meeting the increasing demand for healthcare services.
During the inaugural meeting, Dr Ganie highlighted the institute’s commitment to enhancing healthcare services by referring 367 new posts to the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) for recruitment.
“With everyone’s cooperation, we are planning to double the facilities at SKIMS to accommodate the growing influx of patients,” he said.
“We are also planning to formulate a 50-year plan for SKIMS. In the first meeting, 367 posts have been referred to the J&K Services Selection Board (JKSSB), and I will ensure that the recruitment process is completed within three months,” he added.
Emphasizing efficiency, he pledged to oversee the completion of the recruitment process within a swift three-month timeframe.
Moreover, SKIMS aims to solidify its future trajectory by formulating a comprehensive 50-year plan.
