Radiology student from Budgam found hanging in Punjab college

SRINAGAR — A Radiology student from central Kashmir’s Budgam district was found hanging in his college in Punjab, officials said.

An official told news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that a student identified as Umar Ahad Dev son of Abdul Ahad, a resident of Chewdara area of Budgam pursuing B.Sc Radiology from RIMT College at GT Road, Sirhind Side, Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab was allegedly found hanging near his room early morning.

He said Umar was studying Bachelors in Radiology and Imaging Technology since 2020.

The body has been taken for medico-legal formalities, the official stated while adding that a case under relevant sections of law is being registered in this regard and further investigations have been set into motion.
