SRINAGAR — Sixteen travellers and two minors were among 249 new COVID-19 cases reported in Jammu and Kashmir in the last 24 hours, officials said on Saturday.
Among them, they said, 126 are from Jammu Division and 123 from Kashmir Valley while total case tally reached 119877.
They said Srinagar reported 49 cases, Baramulla 8, Budgam 15, Kupwara 10, Pulwama 9, Anantnag 8, Bandipora 2, Ganderbal 8, Kulgam 4, Shopian 10, Jammu 96, Udhampur 2, Rajouri 7, Doda 5, Kathua 4, Kishtwar 4, Samba 0, Poonch 1, Ramban 7 and Reasi 4.
Moreover, they said, 369 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals—203 from Jammu Division and 166 from Kashmir.
COVID-19 claims 6 more lives, J&K toll 1867
Jammu and Kashmir reported six more deaths due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, taking its fatality count to 1867, officials said on Saturday.
Four among those who succumbed to the virus include two from Jammu and two from Kashmir Valley, the officials said.
The victims include a 78-year-old man from Fatehkadal Srinagar, a 70-year-old man from Plan Bandipora, a 78-year-old man from Digiana Jammu, a 60-year-old man from Aul Doda, a 65-year-old woman from Potha Poonch and a 60-year-old man from Rehari Colony Jammu.
With these deaths, the total fatality count in J&K reached 1867—1177 in the Valley and 690 in the Jammu region.
Srinagar district with 445 deaths tops the list followed by Jammu (352), Baramulla (170), Budgam (107), Kupwara (90), Pulwama (88), Anantnag (83), Doda (62), Bandipora (60), Udhampur (57), Kulgam (53), Rajouri (54), Kathua (48), Ganderbal (43), Shopian (37), Samba (38), Poonch (23), Ramban (21), Kishtwar (21), and Reasi (14).
