13 travelers among 531 new COVID-19 cases in J&K

SRINAGAR — 13 travelers were among 531 new COVID-19 cases reported in Jammu and Kashmir in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of cases to 113288, officials said on Sunday.

Among the cases, 308 were reported from Jammu division and 223 from Kashmir Valley, the officials said.

Giving district-wise details, they said, Srinagar reported 97, Baramulla 36, Budgam 29, Pulwama 10, Kupwara 7, Anantnag 14, Bandipora 11, Ganderbal 9, Kulgam 0, Shopian 10, Jammu 132, Rajouri 23, Udhampur 28, Doda 25, Kathua 35, Poonch 6, Samba 15, Kishtwar 28, Ramban 4 and Reasi 12.

Meanwhile, they said, 366 COVID-19 patients recovered in the last 24 hours and were discharged from various hospitals in J&K.

Four more COVID-19 deaths reported, J&K toll 1746

Jammu and Kashmir reported four more COVID-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the fatality count due to the pestilence to 1746.

Official sources said on Sunday that three among them belonged to Jammu region and one was from Kashmir Valley — a 70-year-old man from Batamaloo area of Srinagar.

They said that the septuagenarian was admitted to the CD Hospital, one of the exclusive facilities for the management of the COVID-19 patients, on November 14.

Regarding the deaths from Jammu region, they said, two were from the Winter capital of J&K — an 84-year-old man from Muthi and a 52-year-old woman from R S Pura — and one from Kishtwar district.

With these deaths, the total fatality count in the Valley has reached 1126 and 619 in the Jammu region.

Srinagar district with 427 deaths tops the list followed by Jammu (316), Baramulla (163), Budgam (103), Pulwama (86), Kupwara (85), Anantnag (80), Doda (57), Bandipora (55), Kulgam (51), Udhampur (51), Rajouri (50), Kathua (42), Ganderbal (39), Shopian (37), Samba (33), Poonch (22), Ramban (20), Kishtwar (20), and Reasi (9).
