SRINAGAR — Jammu and Kashmir reported 76 fresh COVID-19 cases, including 27 travellers, in the last 24 hours, taking the total infection count to 124449, officials said on Saturday.
They said that among the cases, Srinagar reported 27, Baramulla 4, Budgam 3, Pulwama 9, Kupwara 1, Anantnag 4, Bandipora 3, Ganderbal 5, Kulgam, Shopian 1, Jammu 8, Udhampur 1, Rajouri 0, Doda, Kathua 0, Samba 0, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 8, Ramban 0 and Reasi 0.
A number of cases were confirmed at diagnostic laboratories of SKIMS Soura and GMC Anantnag hospital.
The SKIMS cases include two females (54, 14) and male (06) from Manigam Ganderbal, male (35) from Buchpora, female (50) from Dagakadal Srinagar, male (62) from Sangus Kulgam, male (55) from Charari Budgam and male (27) from Laxmi Nivas. The GMC Anantnag cases include male (32) from Lazibal.
Meanwhile, 135 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals—25 from Jammu Division and 110 from Kashmir, taking the number of people who recovered so far to 121752.
While 1936 people have died, the active case tally in J&K reduced to 761— 571 in Valley and 190 in Jammu.
COVID-19 claims three more lives, J&K toll 1936
Jammu and Kashmir reported three more deaths due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, taking the fatality count to 1936.
The victims include a 95-year-old man from Noorbagh Srinagar, a 70-year-old woman from Sanatnagar Srinagar and a 77-year-old man from Vill Naugran Bishnah Jammu. The deaths took the fatality count to 1936 in J&K—1215 in Valley and 721 in Jammu division.
Srinagar district with 456 deaths tops the list followed by Jammu (371), Baramulla (174), Budgam (117), Kupwara (95), Pulwama (88), Anantnag (85), Doda (64), Bandipora (61), Udhampur (57), Kulgam (54), Rajouri (55), Kathua (52), Ganderbal (46), Shopian (39), Samba (39), Poonch (24), Ramban (21), Kishtwar (22), and Reasi (15).
The number of active cases stands at 1103 in the J&K—414 in Jammu and 689 in Kashmir while 121124 patients have so far recovered from the infection, the officials added.
