SRINAGAR — Jammu and Kashmir reported 284 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, officials said on Friday.

They said Srinagar reported 65 cases, Baramulla 9, Budgam 32, Kupwara 9, Pulwama 18, Anantnag 2, Bandipora 1, Ganderbal 3, Kulgam 1, Shopian 0, Jammu 96, Udhampur 8, Rajouri 7, Doda 11, Kathua 12, Kishtwar 0, Samba 5, Poonch , Ramban 2 and Reasi 2.

COVID-19 claims one more life in J&K

Jammu and Kashmir reported one death due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, taking the fatality count to 1861, officials said on Friday.

Official sources said that victim was a 60-year-old man from Boniyar Baramulla.

With these deaths, the total fatality count in J&K reached 1861—1175 in the Valley and 686 in the Jammu region.

Srinagar district with 444 deaths tops the list followed by Jammu (350), Baramulla (170), Budgam (107), Kupwara (90), Pulwama (88), Anantnag (83), Doda (61), Bandipora (59), Udhampur (57), Kulgam (53), Rajouri (54), Kathua (48), Ganderbal (43), Shopian (37), Samba (38), Poonch (22), Ramban (21), Kishtwar (21), and Reasi (14).
