490 new cases take J&K’s COVID-19 tally past 12k mark

SRINAGAR — Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday reported 490 new COVID-19 infections, taking the overall tally past 12,000 mark. Among the fresh cases include 89 from CRPF and 10 from Army’s BB Cantt here.

Officials said that 62 cases were reported from Jammu and 428 from Kashmir Valley even as 109 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals.

Giving district-wise details, official sources said Srinagar reported 259 cases, Baramulla 18, Kulgam 21, Shopian 42, Anantnag 06, Kupwara 03, Pulwama 32, Budgam 34, Bandipora 02 and Ganderbal 11.

Similarly, they said, Jammu reported 14 new infections, Udhampur 03, Kathua 02, Rajouri 33, Samba 08 and Doda 02.
