524 fresh COVID-19 cases in J&K, Total crosses 97k

SRINAGAR — Jammu and Kashmir reported 524 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the total count to 97,224. Among the infected include six CRPF men, as many BSF personnel, besides 19 Army soldiers and two minors.

Among them, 185 cases were confirmed from Jammu and 339 from Kashmir Valley, official sources said.

Giving district-wise case counts, officials said Srinagar reported 155, Budgam 38, Baramulla 54, Pulwama 8, Kupwara 26, Anantnag 6, Bandipora 9, Ganderbal 23, Kulgam 5, Shopian 14, Jammu 99, Rajouri 9, Udhampur 9, Doda 10, Kathua 10, Poonch 5, Samba 4, Kishtwar 19, Ramban 11 and Reasi 9.

A number of these cases were confirmed at CD and SKIMS Hospital’s diagnostic laboratories, they said.

Moreover, they said, 651 more patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals—174 from Jammu Division and 477 from Kashmir Valley.
