SRINAGAR — Jammu and Kashmir reported 544 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the total tally to 112256, officials said on Friday.
Giving district-wise details, they said Srinagar reported 118, Baramulla 29, Budgam 37, Pulwama 15, Kupwara 10, Anantnag 12, Bandipora 11, Ganderbal 16, Kulgam 2, Shopian 6, Jammu 109, Rajouri 24, Udhampur 51, Doda 15, Kathua 13, Poonch 3, Samba 23, Kishtwar 27, Ramban 20 and Reasi 3.
12 more fall victim to COVID-19, J&K toll 1730
Jammu and Kashmir reported 12 more COVID-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the fatality count to 1730.
Among the victims, officials said on Friday that eight were from Jammu division and four from Kashmir Valley.
Those who died in Kashmir valley include a 70-year-old woman from Lal Bazar Srinagar, an 84-year-old man from Sonwar, a 60-year-old man from Beerwah and an 80-year-old man from Chogul Handwara in Kupwara district.
Among others, the victims from Jammu include an 80-year-old woman from Talab Tillo Jammu and a 75-year-old man from Kabi Colony of Talab Tiloo Jammu.
With these deaths, the total fatality count in the Valley has reached 1119 and 611 in the Jammu region.
Srinagar district with 425 deaths tops the list followed by Jammu (312), Baramulla (163), Budgam (102), Pulwama (86), Kupwara (85), Anantnag (79), Doda (57), Bandipora (52), Kulgam (51), Udhampur (51), Rajouri (50), Ganderbal (39), Shopian (37), Kathua (39), Samba (32), Poonch (22), Ramban (20), Kishtwar (19), and Reasi (9).
