COVID-19 claims 13 more lives in J&K, toll 550

SRINAGAR — COVID-19 on Sunday claimed 13 more lives in Jammu and Kashmir, thus taking the toll of deaths due to novel Coronavirus to 550 in the Union Territory.

Officials said that 13 patients who died today include a 75-year-old man from Ellahi Bagh Srinagar, a 60-year-old woman from Rainawari Srinagar, a 55-year-old woman from Laripora Pahalgam, a 55-year-old man from Budgam, a 75-year-old man from Alamgari Bazar Srinagar, a 53-year-old man from Soura, a 75-year-old man from Wakura Ganderbal, a 95-year-old woman from Buchpora Srinagar, a 75-year-old man from Tullamulla Ganderbal, a 65-year-old woman from Narbal, a 60-year-old woman from Tral Pulwama, a 70-year-old woman from Pampore Pulwama and a 65-year-old woman from Pampore Pulwama.

An official from SKIMS said that a patient from Ellahi Bagh Srinagar who was admitted on August 12, a patient from Rainawari who was admitted on August 05, a patient from Laripora Pahalgam who was admitted on July 19, a patient from Budgam who was admitted on August 15, a patient from Alamgari Bazar who was admitted on August 05, a patient from Soura who was admitted on July 31, a patient from Wakura Ganderbal who was admitted on August 15, a patient from Buchpora who was admitted on August 12 and a patient from Tullamulla Ganderbal who was admitted on August 16, died at SKIMS in the last 24 hours.

An official from SMHS Hospital said that a patient from Narbal who was admitted on August 10, a patient from Tral who was admitted on August 05, a 70-year-old woman from Pampore who was admitted on August 12 and a 65-year-old woman also from Pampore who was admitted on August 07, died on Sunday.

With 13 more deaths, the death toll in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 550 including 509 from Kashmir division and 41 from Jammu division.
