Helpline set up to facilitate inter-State migrant labourers

SRINAGAR — The government today issued helpline numbers to facilitate inter-State migrant labourers who arrived in Jammu and Kashmir prior to lockdown announced in view of coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

According to the Labour Commissioner J&K, the migrant labourers can contact the following helpline numbers for assistance and help: Showkat Shafi (Inspector): 8899546373; Ansar Ahmad (Inspector): 7006286174 (for Kashmir Division) and Shivika Sharma (Labour Officer): 9149691329; Stander Pal Singh (Section Officer): 7051986422 (for Jammu Division).

The aforementioned officers shall be available round-the-clock for help and assistance.
