Accident claims life of Class 11 student in Banihal

BANIHAL — A Class 11 student was crushed to death by a speeding truck in Banihal on Wednesday morning.

Reports reaching here said that a young girl, identified as Saboori Rafiq, the daughter of Advocate Mohammad Rafiq, was hit by a speeding truck near the court complex in Banihal and sustained critical injuries.

She was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.

Meanwhile, the local police have taken cognizance of the road mishap and started an investigation in this regard.
