JAMMU — Jammu youth on Tuesday staged a protest against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its senior leader Yudhvir Sethi for his remarks against people, seeking restoration of 4G mobile Internet services.
Sethi, who is BJP’s State vice-president from Jammu, had issued a statement two days ago in which he said that those demanding restoration of 4G mobile Internet services are sympathisers of militants.
The protesters torched Sethi’s effigy and also raised slogans against BJP and its leader.
Vasudev, a youth activist, heading the protest said that remarks by Sethi are highly objectionable and intolerable.
“We are nationalists and are demanding 4G mobile Internet services but Sethi called us terror sympathisers which is highly unfortunate,” Vasudev, a young protestor said.
Another youth said that Sethi must tender apology for his remarks as he has hurt our sentiments.
