BSF claims to neutralise 7 infiltrators in Samba

JAMMU — Amid heavy shelling and heightened tension between India and Pakistan, the troops of the Border Security Force claimed to have successfully foiled infiltration and neutralised seven infiltrators in Samba sector of Jammu.

BSF sources said that in Samba Sector of Jammu, in the intervening night of May 8-9, an infiltration attempt by a big group of infiltrators was detected by a surveillance grid.

“This infiltration bid by terrorists was supported by fire from Pak Rangers post Dhandhar,” said a BSF source.

Sources said that alert BSF troops neutralised the infiltration, killing at least seven infiltrators and causing extensive damage to the Pak post Dhandhar.

Earlier, the BSF Jammu in a post on X on Thursday said that troops observed infiltration along the IB in Samba sector at 11 PM and challenged them. The infiltration was foiled, they posted.
