| Katra chopper crash |
Jammu: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) shall hold an inquiry into Katra chopper crash to find out reasons leading to the crash, in which 7 persons including the pilot were killed today at the holy town of Katra in Reasi district.
The said information was given out in a high level meeting chaired by Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh in which Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr Pawan Kotwal, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vashno Devi Shrine Board, Mr. Ajit Sahu, DIG Udhampur Range, DC Reasi and other senior officers were present.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that DGCA would be holding an inquiry into the matter and would be submitting a report shortly. This would go a long way in ensuring passenger safety and shall also help avoid recurrence of such accidents in which precious human lives are lost, he maintained.
