JAMMU — A person was killed and six others were injured in a mortar shell blast that took place in a scrap factory on Saturday afternoon in the Industrial Estate, Bari Brahmana of Samba district.

According to the news agency KNO, a massive explosion took place around 3 PM in Scrap Enterprises, a company owned by Subash Chandra and Sons, which deals with scrap material for its further reuse.

A person identified as Mohan Lal from Rajouri died in the explosion while six others were injured. All six persons who sustained injuries have now been sent to Government Medical College (GMC) in the Jammu area.
