Ramban Accident: Death toll reaches twenty

Srinagar: The death toll in Ramban passenger vehicle accident has reached twenty as some injured persons succumbed.

The accident occured earlier in the day when a passenger vehicle skidded off the road near Kayla mode in Ramban district along the strategic Srinagar-Jammu highway.

Reports said that the vehicle (Matador JK19-1593) over turned and rolled down about 500ft deep gorge near Kayla mode in Ramban.

Station House Officer (SHO), Ramban Inspector Vijay Kotwal confirmed the mishap.

Deputy Commissioner (DC), Ramban, Showkat Aijaz Bhat said that the accident took place near Kayla mode, 4 kilometers from Ramban.
