
Poonch: A residential house was partially damaged and people were confined to houses as India and Pakistan traded fresh firing along the line of control (LoC) in Jammu’s Poonch district on Wednesday.
Official sources said that Pakistan Army targeted residential areas at Krishna Ghati sector of Mendhar area in Poonch as a result of which house of one Mohammad Sharf at Nar Mankote suffered damages.
Reports said that due to the continuous shelling and firing, the people have restricted their movement and have confined themselves to their houses.
SDPO Mendhar, Neeraj Padyar said that shelling started at 3:00 PM and continued intermittently thereafter.
Official sources said that Indian Army also retaliated the shelling and when this report was filed, the exchange of shells was going on intermittently. (GNS)
