JAMMU — Police on Wednesday flexed its muscles on Jammu University students after they blocked vehicular movement on University-Railway Station road against killing of RSS leader and his PSO.

Jammu High Court Bar Association also suspended work in Jammu High Court against the killing.

According to reports, seven protesting students were detained by police.

“Police resorted to lathi-charge to disperse the Jammu University students while they tried staging protest demonstration and blocked the traffic movement on University-Railway Station road over Kishtwar incident,” they said.

Protesters belonging to Bajrang Dal also protested in Jammu.

Protesting students said that in past Parihar brothers were killed in similar fashion and perpetrators are yet to be put behind bars.

“We ask Governor Satya Pal Malik as to why targeted killing of Hindus is going unnoticed. It’s second such incident. It must be probed and those behind the crime should be brought to book,” they said.
