Searches launched as two suspects seen in Katra

KATRA — Two suspected persons along with weapons were seen by some people in Katra Town of Jammu, following which government forces have launched search operation in the area.

Sources said that two suspected persons along with weapons were seen in hillside falling in Katra Town of Reasi district.

“On receiving the information about the presence of suspected persons in the area, government forces and police have launched a search operation in Katra Town to thwart the untoward incident,” sources said.

The operation has been launched keeping in view the protection and safety of Shri Vaishno Mata Devi pilgrims.

Police officials said that the search operation was launched following a tip-off by locals.

“Search operation is underway and after completion of operation, we will clarify their presence in the area. As of now, we can’t say more about it,” they added.
