SRINAGAR — The Government on Sunday informed that 444 new positive cases of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), 206 from Jammu division and 238 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 21,416.
Also, eight COVID-19 deaths have been reported from Kashmir Division.
Moreover, 256 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals, 123 from Jammu Division and 133 from Kashmir Division.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), out of 21416 positive cases, 7893 are active positive, 13127 have recovered and 396 have died; 28 in Jammu division and 368 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 654117 test results available, 632701 samples have been tested as negative till August 02, 2020.
Additionally, till date 372929 travelers and persons in contact with suspected cases have been enlisted for observation which included 45818 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, six in hospital quarantine, 7893 in hospital isolation and 40801 under home surveillance. Besides, 278015 persons have completed their surveillance period.
