JKSSB cautions candidates against fake emails & calls

SRINAGAR — Jammu and Kashmir State Selection Board (JKSSB) on Monday appealed to candidates, who have appeared in the board examinations for different posts, not to pay any heed to phone calls and emails demanding money in lieu of ensuring their selection.

An official spokesman said here that pursuant to various complaints received from candidates, who have appeared in examinations conducted by the JKSSB for different posts, it is being reported that some unscrupulous elements have been calling the candidates through emails and telephones and demanding monetary consideration in lieu of ensuring their selection.

These mischievous elements were claiming to be representatives of the Board, he said.

“On preliminary inquiry, it has been found that the email IDs provided by them have no dealing whatsoever with the Board,” the official said.

He added, “All the candidates are advised to be cautious of such fake calls/mails and not pay heed to any such solicitation.”

Candidates are advised not to fall in such traps and contact JKSSB Board authorities immediately if any such email/call is received by any of them from such dubious persons.
