10 shops damaged in mid-night blaze in Pulwama

PULWAMA — At least 10 shops and a school building were reduced to ashes in a horrific fire incident during the intervening night of Friday and Saturday in Parigam village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Official sources told news agency CNS that as the fire broke out, Fire and Emergency Services were deputed to the spot to douse off the flames; however, by the time they reached the spot, 10 shops and a building were already gutted by the massive blaze.

They said property worth crores was destroyed in the major fire. The cause of the fire was not known yet. However, no loss of life or injury was reported in the incident.

Meanwhile, sudden increase in the number of fire incidents in the valley has caused a wave of concern among the general public.
