1686 new COVID-19 cases reported in J&K, total 54,096

SRINAGAR — Jammu and Kashmir reported 1686 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking its count to 54,096, officials said on Saturday.

The case tally is second highest day spike in J&K and it is for the eleven day in running that daily caseload has exceeded one thousand mark.

With 116 travelers among them, official sources said that 875 cases were from Jammu and 811 from Kashmir Valley.

Giving breakup of the cases, they said, Srinagar reported 185, Budgam 158, Baramulla 79, Pulwama 44, Anantnag 47, Kupwara 62, Bandipora 128, Kulgam 22, Ganderbal 78, Shopian 8, Jammu 405, Udhampur 56, Rajouri 70, Kathua 48, Samba 29, Poonch 79, Ramban 31, Doda 94, Reasi 18 and Kishtwar 45.

Moreover, they said, 452 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals— 146 from Jammu Division and 306 from Kashmir Valley.
