61 couples tie knot in simple mass marriage function in Srinagar

SRINAGAR — Helping Hands Foundation successfully organized a grand mass marriage ceremony for 61 couples in Srinagar today, marking the 12th phase of its flagship initiative to support families in need.

The event was graced by dignitaries, social activists and prominent personalities who lauded the Foundation’s remarkable efforts in promoting social welfare.

According to the news agency ANB, the Chairman of the Helping Hands Foundation, Umer Wani, addressed the gathering and highlighted the significance of such events in alleviating financial burdens on families and strengthening the social fabric.

“This initiative not only helps couples begin a new chapter of their lives with dignity but also sends a powerful message of solidarity and care within the community,” he said.

Sajad Ahmad Sholla, Chairman of Smile Foundation, applauded the initiative, calling it a beacon of hope for those in need. “Helping Hands Foundation has once again set an example of compassion and commitment. It is truly commendable to witness such a noble endeavour,” he added.

Prominent social worker Syed Aijaz Kashani, while addressing the gathering, emphasized the rising issue of late marriages and the social challenges it creates. He praised the Foundation’s consistent efforts in addressing these challenges through meaningful actions.
