Army intensifies search in Bandipora’s Pannar after militants escape

BANDIPORA — The Army has launched a massive search operation in Pannar area of northern Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

Army said that after opening indiscriminate firing on the army in the Pannar area, the militants fled away from the spot and took refuge in nearby jungles.

Army said that troops spotted suspicious movement, and upon challenging the militants, they opened indiscriminate fire before fleeing into the jungle.

The army added that they launched a search operation to track down the escaped militants.
