KULGAM — Three soldiers including two officers were rescued while the body of fourth soldier was fished out from a water body after a gypsy they were travelling in plunged into Vishaw Nallah in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Sources said that an Army gypsy of 9 Rashtriya Rifles, carrying troops on way through Adijan-DH Pora in Kulgam, turned turtle and fell into Vishaw Nallah.
Sources added that the driver lost control over vehicle near a diversion. Three soldiers were rescued while the body of a soldier was fished out from the water body after hard efforts.
The Army vehicle belonged to DK Marg Army Camp of Damhal Hanjipora Kulgam.
The deceased soldier has been identified as Sepoy Suraj Kumar.
The three soldiers who were rescued have been identified as Major Pushp Rajput, Captain Malla and Anil Dubay Reyal.
