SRINAGAR — In a tragic turn of events late Monday night, an auto-rickshaw driver lost his life after being struck by a vehicle in the Sonawar area of Srinagar. The incident, reported by a local news agency, occurred near Sonwar Bagh, where the driver was hit by an unidentified vehicle.

The victim, identified as Mohammad Ashraf Sheikh, hailing from Pampore in southern Kashmir, was immediately rushed to the SMHS hospital for urgent medical attention. However, upon arrival, medical personnel pronounced him dead on arrival, depicting the severity of the injuries sustained in the collision.
