Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Wednesday issued an advisory to people living in flood-affected parts of the state asking them to be careful about surfacing of snakes in waterlogged areas.
“There is a possibility of surfacing of snakes in the waterlogged areas in view of the recent floods,” an official spokesman said.
He said the government had issued an advisory asking the people to be careful.
Several snakes were found dead in waterlogged areas in the city in the aftermath of the worst-ever floods in more than a century in the valley.
