J&K Public Service Commission - JKPSC

SRINAGAR — Aspirants for various posts on Wednesday staged protest against Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC), questioning their credibility as the question paper was allegedly leaked even before the exam was conducted.

According to a candidate, the exams for the posts in Sericulture department were to be conducted and the question paper was already viral on social media that were provided to aspirants today.

“We had already told the authorities that the question paper has been leaked but they did not listen. When we entered the examination hall, it was the same question paper,” Masood Ahmad, an aspirant said.

He said that how come the same questions which were doing rounds on social media sites were part of the actual exams and alleged that there are some officials who are leaking the questions.

The aspirants for various posts protested at the PSC office, asking officials to come clear on the issue. They said that it was not the first instance, but previously when they appeared for the written test for Range Officer posts and in Judiciary, question papers were exchanged.

“On 23, we had to appear for English paper. It was written on the question paper that it’s meant for Range Officer post however same question paper was given to Judiciary posts as well,” aspirants alleged.

They also claimed that afterwards when they went to appear for the General Knowledge paper, question sheets meant for RO posts were given to Judiciary posts.

“Later in five minutes, they got papers for Judiciary posts. How can that happen? If they did not have the question papers, they cannot create them in five minutes,” they claimed.

Aspirants accused the PSC of playing with careers of aspirants and demanded a fair inquiry to be launched over the misdoings.

“It will be naive to say that nothing fishy is happening and everything is just a coincidence,” they said, complaining that the credibility of the department has been dented.

“How can we believe that fair selection will take place in such an environment,” they rued.

Despite repeated attempts, chairman JKPSC did not receive calls from this news organization.
