SRINAGAR — Subscribers in several villages of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district are aghast over poor network connectivity of government-sponsored telecom service provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL).
A delegation of aggrieved subscribers said that they have been facing huge inconvenience due to low connectivity for nearly a week now. The affected villages, according to the delegation, include Panzgam, Ladrimad, Bandina, Chokura, Begipora, Kawinie, Kulpora, Khandipor, in the district.
“We are not able to access Internet or even make regular calls for nearly a week now,” they said, adding that “the businessmen and students are facing a lot of hardships.”
Alleging the authorities of playing down the issue, they said that despite many appraisals, the authorities are yet to budge.
Meanwhile, when contacted, a Telecom Operator said that the issue has been escalated with the concerned team concerned, assuring that, it is under active consideration and will be redressed very soon.
