PULWAMA — 10-hour-long cordon and search operation (CASO) was called off by government forces in Murran village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday morning.
Reports said that a joint team of forces carried out searches in the village but no contact with any militant was established, following which the operation was called off.
A local said, “All over there were men in green olives, the scene was scary.”
Meanwhile, locals alleged that many civilians were thrashed by the forces during the CASO, a claim refuted by police.
