CBI-ACB conducts combined raid at Patwari’s house in Srinagar

SRINAGAR — The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday carried out a combined raid in the residential house of a Patwari of Revenue Department and seized some revenue documents besides arresting the officer.

Sources said that soon after the Patwari was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of 13 thousand, the sleuths of ACB and CBI raided his in-laws house in Gousyar area of Kashmir capital Srinagar, where he is currently residing.

“During searches, the combined team seized some revenue documents besides the Patwari was arrested, ” sources said.

Sources identified the accused Patwari as Mohammad Afzal, a resident of Budgam district, who is currently posted in Bemina Srinagar.
