BUDGAM — A youth from Chadoora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district has developed a mobile application for sharing files. The application is an alternative to a Chinese application ‘ShareIT’, which was recently banned across India by the Union Government.
The 5.3MB application available on Play Store titled ‘File Share Tool’ has been developed by the youth identified as Tipu Sultan Wani as an alternative to ‘ShareIT’.
ShareIT and 58 other applications have been banned by the government across India after India and China faced-off at Galwan Valley in Ladakh Union Territory.
“This application is working faster than ShareIT. Unlike ShareIT, I have developed this application without advertisements, which can be used to share movies, documents and audios, without any limit,” Wani, who is an MBA student, said.
Meanwhile, people from the area are happy with the feat of this youth. The locals congratulated him and wished him luck.
