COVID-19: 10-year-old patient stable and recovering at SKIMS

SRINAGAR — The 10-year-old boy who was tested positive for the COVID-19 infection a couple of days ago is stable and recovering at a good pace, doctors at SKIMS Soura said.

The boy from Rathpora Eidgah had been tested positive after he came into contact with a Tableeghi Jamaat member in a local mosque.

A doctor, wishing not to be named, said the boy is recovering and stable. “Soon we are going to collect his samples and hopefully he will turn negative,” he said, adding that the boy is in isolation and doing very fine.

Munir Ahmed, the father of the boy said that he was informed by the doctors that his son is stable and recovering. “It is good news for me but at the same time, it pains me that I can’t see my little son who is in isolation,” he said.
