COVID-19: 58-year-old man from Kokernag dies, toll 85

SRINAGAR — A 58-year-old man from Kokernag has died at CD Hospital Srinagar after testing positive for COVID-19, taking the total number of deaths in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir to 85.

Dr. Saleem Tak, Medical Superintendent at CD Hospital said that a 58-year-old man, who had tested positive, was shifted here from GMC Anantnag on 19th of June and died this afternoon.

He said that patient was on ventilator and was suffering from thyroid and pneumonia.

COVID-19: 24-year-old lady among 18 more fall victim in J&K

Earlier, a 65-year-old male from Kakapora Pulwama died at SMHS. He was suffering from bilateral pneumonia, diabetes and hypertension, as per hospital authorities.

With two more deaths, the death toll in J&K has reached to 85 including 75 from Kashmir division and 10 from Jammu division.
