
SRINAGAR — 39 new cases tested positive for novel coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, raising the toll of cases testing positive in the Union Territory to 780.
The officials said, “Thirty-nine new cases, all from Kashmir have been reported from Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday.”
31 samples came positive at CD Hospital Lab, while 08 were tested in SKIMS Hospital’s Virology Lab. Out of these 39 fresh cases, 18 are from Anantnag, 11 from Srinagar, 05 from Shopian, 03 from Kupwara and 01 each from Kulgam and Ganderbal districts, they said.
With these 39 cases testing positive on Wednesday, the total number of cases testing positive in Jammu and Kashmir has now reached to 780.
Out of 780 cases, 717 are from Kashmir and 63 cases have been reported from Jammu division. Seven patients from Kashmir and one from Jammu have also fallen to the disease.
470 patients are active as of now, 302 have recovered and 08 have died.
