SRINAGAR — Kashmir on Sunday recorded second death due to COVID-19, taking the toll to 83 in the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

Medical Superintendent SKIMS, Professor Farooq Jan said that a 60-year-old woman from Kulgam became another COVID-19 victim. He said her swab sample was taken on June 20 and today evening turned positive for this virus.

Earlier, a resident of Tragpora area of Rafiabad died of COVID-19 at SKIMS.

So far, 83 people have succumbed to the virus in J&K—ten from Jammu and 73 from the Valley.
